Cathy Atlas
Cathy and her family moved from Nashville to Broomfield in June 2024. As a digital and graphic designer, she’s spent much of her career designing for healthcare and various nonprofit organizations. She’s passionate about using design and creativity to inform and educate families in her community, and this makes BCAH a perfect fit!
Heather Doran
Heather joined BCAH in 2017 and is the Program Director of the Broomfield Film Project, a BCAH program. Previously she worked as a location scout and manager in Seattle, where she found locations and managed set logistics for major studio films. Now as a digital marketer in Colorado, she enjoys supporting arts and science events, ideating fundraising strategies with the board, and introducing Colorado films to Colorado audiences.
Arlene Languerand
Arlene moved to Broomfield in 2002 and raised three children here. Her family has volunteered for BCAH for many years and really enjoy the variety of programs that are offered to the community. When she’s not working as a SSN ParaEducator for Adams 12, she likes to spend time with her kids, cook, and travel. Arlene won the BCAH Volunteer of the Year for 2023.

Kathy Klatt, President
When Kathy isn't volunteering for BCAH, she is spending time with her beloved grandchildren. For decades, Kathy was a treasured and favorited Broomfield Children's Librarian who was responsible for much of the Library’s creative programming for children and families. She was also the 2008 recipient of the Heart of Broomfield Award for the Arts. She retired a few years ago to focus on her family, serve as the liaison for Chadash Contemporary Dance Movement, and volunteer for BCAH.
Andrea Quackenbush
Andrea moved to Colorado in 2017 after she recognized Broomfield as the place where she wanted to put down roots and raise her children. As the Events Director for the Broomfield Area Chamber, she works to foster growth and engagement through impactful initiatives. She’s exited to contribute to the cultural vibrancy of Broomfield, collaborate with fellow board members, and champion the arts and humanities in this place she now proudly calls home.
Jane Spain
Past Historian and Co-founder of BCAH
Jane was a treasured member of the community, a "Living Legend of Dance" awardee through the University of Denver, the founder of Broomfield's first dance studio (Dance Arts Studio, which is now operated by Heidi Thomas), and BCAH’s longtime historian. She was a valued and loved member of BCAH and one of the original advocates for BCAH’s formation and the start of art in Broomfield. Jane represented the legacy of BCAH and Broomfield with her friendliness, positive energy, and kindness to everyone. She was also the 2002 recipient of the Heart of Broomfield Award for the Arts.
Our Board of Directors is comprised of 7-12 volunteers from the community, elected by active individual, group, and business members. The board meets at 12 p.m. on the 2nd Friday of each month (except in June, July, and December) virtually or at the Brunner Farmhouse. To sit in on these public meetings, send an email to BCAH.
Board members are also encouraged to volunteer at select events, be a committee member on the events planning committee. If you're interested in becoming a board member, BCAH is always looking for business-oriented members and creatives who are eager to help BCAH grow arts and culture in Broomfield. Sherill Bunetta
Past President and Treasurer
For many years, BCAH was lucky to have Sherill as its backbone. As a past Heart of Broomfield for Arts award recipient, she dedicated a great deal of her life to the continuation of BCAH and ensured it was consistently on track from its finances to its operations. It is with our deepest regret to share that Sherill passed away in October, 2020. Sherill was a friend to many and a shining light for us all. She wholeheartedly believed that arts, culture, and science must be present, vibrant, and available to all in every community. The family has asked that donations be made in her name. To donate, click on the donate button and select her fund name from the program list or send a check to BCAH, PO Box 681, Broomfield, CO 80038.
