The Broomshticks Improv Group is dedicated to sharing all the silliness, whimsy, and belly-laughing possible with Broomfield and surrounding communities! Formed in 2016 as an outgrowth of Broomfield Community Players, The Broomshticks has grown over the past two years and is proud to be stepping out as a focused program of BCAH to provide free improvisational acting programs, ticketed events in local venues, and performance opportunities in the greater metro area. The core leadership and performance group of The Broomshticks is designated by invitation and is currently comprised of key members: Dayna Scott, Mary Wilkie, Les Seabolt, Kelsey Satalino, Josh Feldman, and Annie Booher. The Broomshticks also gets creative with seasonal inspiration by Hsing-Ay Hsu and other guest performers.
The Broomshticks, a program of BCAH, has been active all summer hosting monthly virtual meet-ups, getting together for physically-distanced backyard rehearsals, and recording a few silly games for the entertainment of those on social media!
In July, we moved our free monthly meet-ups on the 1st Wednesday of every month from 6:45-8:15 p.m. back to Wonderland Brewing in the far corner of the yard to practice projecting through our masks! Grab a beer and join us to laugh, play, or stare in confusion as we explore short-form improvisation in the style of "Whose Line is it Anyway?" on September 2, October 7, and November 4. Please note: In-person meet ups may be moved back to an online platform if necessitated by public health changes. Follow us on Facebook under “Broomshticks” or through Meetup.com for up to date information!
